Capital Sand mines a high-quality whole grain silica sand from its own quarry in Cape Girardeau, Missouri which is then washed, dried and screened into several grades of whole grain silica. Special attention is paid to producing a highly consistent material based on Capital Sand’s strict operating procedures and state-of-the-art plant operations. Our dedication to controlling the process results in a silica sand that can be used in a variety of industries, including glass manufacturing, foundries, frac sand, filter sand, traction sands, geothermal applications, plus play sands and sports field applications. In addition, Capital Sand produces an ultra-fine silica sand which can be used in 3D printing molds.

Some industries using whole grain silica require certain chemical specifications, others require certain physical specifications, some a little of both. Capital Sand concentrates on providing the most relevant specifications required by each industry, and for each customer.
